Our bodies are made up of 10 trillion cells and 100 trillion bacteria!

Most supplements on the market today have been "greenwashed" with marketing hype telling us how they will improve our health and wellbeing. I have not found this to be the case. The reason being is that you are an organic being and most supplements on the market today are man-made synthetic copies done cheaply in a lab.

Your body knows and treats them as toxic. Notice when you take a multi that you urine changed colour straight away. You body hasn't even had time to absourb it before the brain says get it out!

In-Liven Probiotic Superfood has been specifically deisgned to re-build and nourish the cells and bacteria in our bodies.

70% of your health and vitality comes from have the correct balance of good to bad bacteria in your digestive system.

Stop Organic Fraud in the Health & Beauty Aisle!

If you live in the USA here is your chance to become the seed of change and help congress to STOP THE GREENWASHING!

Are you sick of buying "organic" and "natural" labelled products only to find that you have been fooled by marketing hype?

Now is your chance to take part in a grassroots call to action.
In 2009, the US Department of Agriculture's National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) directed the USDA NOP to "Solve the Problem of Mislabeled Organic Personal Care." If implemented, the recommendation would limit the use of the word "organic" to personal care products that are backed up by third-party certification to USDA standards for products that are "USDA Organic" or "Made With Organic Ingredients."   In an effort to press the NOP to act on the recommendation, the Organic Consumers Association and the Consumers Union filed a complaint earlier this year with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), asking the consumer protection agency to clean up the organic cosmetics industry and stop the organic-washing.

Now the FTC wants to hear from you. Until December 10, 2010, the commission is accepting public comments on whether consumers are mislead by personal care products that are made with petrochemical and synthetic ingredients.
Please submit comments at:  https://ftcpublic.commentworks.com/ftc/revisedgreenguides/...

84,000 Un-tested chemicals on the market today...

11/24/2010

Could you be making yourself or your family sick by simply purchasing an over marketed product off the supermarket shelf?

The overwhelming answer is yes you could. There are 84,000 chemicals on the market to day and according to Sen. Frank Lautenberg only 1% of these have been tested for there safety.

Many of which are in objects and products that people come into contact with every day like shampoos, skin care, plastics.

Read the full article here: Everyday chemicals may be harming kids, panel told

The only way you can be sure that the products you are using on your bodies are free of harmful chemicals is to purchase Certified Organic products like these from the miessence range.

The entire miessence range has been subjected to third party testing from Australian Certified Organic (ACO) United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Click to learn more about the miessence product range

If you have any questions please get in touch, I am more than happy to answer any of your questions.

ACO Cosmetic & USDA Logo Updates from Miessence

11/23/2010

Below is the latest news about the organic standards from miessence head office. These standards are a step forward and will help shoppers to choose from products that are just simply "greenwashed" with marketing hype to those that are truly filled with natural & organic ingredients.

Our organic standards have always been the highest.

Finally, the organic industry’s logos are starting to catch up.

ACO Logo (Australian Certified Organic)
You’ll soon be seeing a label change on all Miessence products as we replace the BFA (Biological Farmers of Australia) organic certification logo with the new ACO (Australia Certified Organic) logo on personal care and cosmetic products containing natural, non-agricultural ingredients such as minerals and salts.

The new ACO logo can be used on products that contain more than 70% but less than 95% organic content. Non-organic ingredients including preservatives and additives must still meet the strict requirements of the Australian Organic Standard.

The ACO logo can only appear on the back of product packaging and must not be more prominent than the ingredient panel.

USDA logo (United Stated Dept of Agriculture)
In 2008 the USDA revised the approved ingredient list for organic certification and sclerotium rolfsii gum was removed. Since many Miessence products contain this ingredient, we immediately made an appeal for reinstatement.

We continue to await the results of our appeal. In the interim, as a continued commitment to our integrity and transparency in all business matters, the decision was made to remove the USDA logo from all products containing sclerotium rolfsii gum.

Please note that Australia Certified Organic (ACO) and other international certification bodies approve the use of sclerotium rolfsii gum in certified organic products.

Sclerotium Rolfsii Gum Facts

° Sclerotium rolfsii gum is a natural gum sourced from bacteria that produces an instant gel base when combined with water. It is a polysaccharide produced through a fermentation process of sclerotium rolfsii on a glucose-based medium. Sclerotium Gum has natural skin smoothing as well as soothing properties. It is used primarily in the cosmetic industry.

° Xanthan gum is considered a polysaccharide in scientific circles because it is a long chain of three different forms of sugar and also sourced from bacteria. It is used primarily in the food industry and is on the approved ingredient list for the USDA logo.

° Sclerotium rolfsii gum is noted on both the EWG and the GreenGuide websites as being completely safe. Like xanthan gum, it can also be safely ingested.

We take our certified organic status seriously. We’ve always used only the purest ingredients available from around the world and will stay current on all certification standards, including green standards, designed to disclose the truth about product ingredients.

Now I believe that if you want to succeed you have to think outside the box. This comes easier for some and not so easy for others.

So in my journey to live and breath a more sustainable existence I came across this man called Joel Salatin who is a farmer in the USA who has thought outside the box and is an inspiration in small farm and food management.

He has cut through all the greenwashing of the big corporations and is farming successfully and organically.
Learn more about Joel Salatin here

Milkwood Permaculture creators Nick & Kirsten together with Sydney Food Fairness Alliance have bought Joel out and tonight my partner and I are going to see him talk.

Feel so lucky to get to go and hear this man talk.
